Dress Up | Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

03/18/2013 by Jennifer 6 Comments

I know that “technically” there are a few more days left of winter, but it’s springtime!!! in my heart. I wore a dress today for the first time in months and I am feeling so happy. Weather changes everything, honestly.

Dress: Old Navy / Shoes: Thrifted / Cardigan: J Crew (borrowed)

I have quite the history with St. Patrick’s Day. When I was little, my mom wrote letters to me from the leprechaun and I truly believed “he” was my best friend. I was devastated when I found out the truth. Sad times! :(

(circa 1997!!)

Well, I’m off to face the madness! Have a good evening. :)

Dress Up | Day Trip to Berkeley

03/13/2013 by Jennifer 3 Comments

A couple of weeks ago, my friend Lauren and I went over to Berkeley for a day of thrifting, Mexican food eating, and mojito drinking. A fine combination if you ask me. :)

(Lauren’s glasses are from Warby Parker)

On this day, we wandered into Anthropologie only to be greeted by a “now hiring” sign. And the rest is history! I’m so excited to work (and eventually live) in the Bay Area.

Last week’s giveaway is still open! Enter to win a beautiful camera/guitar strap from The Little Things by Sarah Marie. There is one week left!

Dress Up | Shine Bright, Shine Far

02/26/2013 by Jennifer 8 Comments

Like I said a few days ago, I keep wearing crazy bright colors. I just can’t stop. Usually, I am attracted to neutrals and warm colors, but lately I love black, white, and color. A lot of color. Somehow I think it is helping me beat the winter blues. I can’t be too bummed out when my nails are painted hot pink.

Dress: H&M / Leggings: Target / Shoes: Old Navy / Cowl: Earl Grey

The dress is borrowed from my roommate Sara. I borrow it almost weekly (sorry Sara). We always joke that we have two closets since we’re always borrowing each other’s clothes. True friendship. :)

So, I’m not quite a fan of neon still, just bright pops of color that are almost neon.

Do you ever see your style change drastically throughout the seasons? I’m trying to guess what colors I will be into this summer. I foresee a bunch of reds and oranges. I dunno! Now more importantly, I’d like to share a blast from the past of Tyra Banks and young Lindsay Lohan. It just seems appropriate:

Well…you’re welcome I guess. Have a lovely Tuesday!

Top: Gap Outlet / Pants: Gap Outlet / Shoes: Target / Glasses: c/o GlassesUSA.com

This particular day was the actual Galentine’s Day. February 13th. I realized it in the middle of taking pictures, hence the excited face. :)

When will I stop blogging about Galentine’s Day?!

Nobody knows…

dress up | valentine’s day

02/19/2013 by Jennifer 7 Comments

Valentine’s Day was a really good day! I went to work in the morning and was in a surprisingly good mood. After work, I spent time with my dog Molly. Then, I visited my sisters. My mom and I went over to Walnut Creek for some shopping and dinner at Boudin. Oh, and somewhere in between all of this, I tried to get along with my tripod.

Dress: Old Navy / Belt: Anthropologie / Tights & Shoes: Target / Glasses: c/o Glasses USA / Nail Polish: Tart Deco by Essie

Molly is going through a lot lately :( It’s a little too sad and complicated to talk about, but I’m spending lots of time with her this week and trying to make sure she’s comfortable. I love Miss Molly so much.

Have a good day!

Dress Up | Thanksgiving Day

11/24/2012 by Jennifer 2 Comments

It’s been a long time coming, but I am going to start posting outfits! I love shopping. I do it a lot. But honestly, I usually end up wearing basics, neutrals, and zero accessories. Perhaps posting outfits will challenge me to mix it up a little! First up: Thanksgiving Day.

Speaking of not being good at mixing things up…I like Target! Maybe too much. But how can you not?

I definitely didn’t come prepared for the temperature drop on Thursday. My family and I played some bocce ball outside and I was freezing, so I borrowed a big comfy hoodie. The scarf is from Urban Outfitters circa…high school. It’s really old, but sparkly and I love it.

Check out this leaf!! I found it outside of my house and I said, “I’m gonna take pictures with you today.”

How was your Thanksgiving?
