artesa winery in napa

12/30/2011 by Jennifer 1 Comment

This week, my friend Sara and I ventured off to Napa for a fun photoshoot. Because we were limited in time, we didn’t get to stay for very long, but at least now I have some new favorite places :)

Such as Artesa Winery. Yay for finally being 21!

Artesa is located on top of a hill, overlooking tons of vineyards, with fountains everywhere. The people who worked there were so nice to us too!

Probably my favorite picture ever
I got bangs and cut all my hair off. Craaaazzyy.

We also took some pictures for Etsy.

Pattern from the lovely Sarahndipities

Oh, Etsy. It’ll be here. New Year’s resolution…?

Have a happy and safe and sparkly New Year’s Eve friends :)

sunday snapshots: marine world

“Marine – World – Africa – USA!”

We celebrated Adalin’s 8th birthday at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Obviously its former name is better :)

I have a genuine fear of butterflies. They are so pretty but whenever they get near me, I freak out.
look at this creepy one!
My arts and crafts small group begins tomorrow! After the big introductory meeting, we will probably just have enough time to say our names, but still…exciting!

long live summer

My weekend, the last hurrah of vacation, was really nice!

kisses!

We celebrated my mom’s birthday with a cute cake that my aunt Deb made with whole wheat flour, chocolate, strawberries, whipping cream, and other delicious things.

look at this face!! :)

I returned home to find a few packages, including tape from CuteTape and clay molds from MoldMuse :) Soooo happy about them. (updates coming soon on what I have made!)

Tomorrow, I will move into my apartment and my classes will start on Wednesday. The first day of school! For the last time. Earlier this summer, people started asking me what I was going to do after college. I replied, “I don’t know” to everyone, mostly. I told some people I would be a beekeeper and they laughed or looked at me funny. I told other people, like my eye doctor, that I didn’t want to do anything “professional” (wrong answer!) and he gave me a weird look too.

It’s funny how during school, seasons are defined by when the semester starts. And when you graduate, you are so shaken because all of the seasons mesh together and you have to start basing them off of the actual weather.

Anyway, I am looking forward to moving in tomorrow. I have a lovely roommate this year, and a super fun apartment in general. We are going to have so many nights of crafts, baking, and studying together, as well as get togethers with lots of people in other apartments.

I’d better get some sleep so I can survive tomorrow.

PS:

(title inspired by my super wonderful friend Alyssa at Roots and Petals, who loves summer as much as I do)

I have mixed feelings about over-editing my photos,
but sometimes it’s just so fun.
