My trip was refreshing and emotionally draining at the same time. Lately, I have been leaving my camera behind and relying on my phone (no idea why). So here you go :) 

At the market, I talked to a beekeeper, who encouraged me to pursue my dream. Oh my goodness, I want to live in Portland sooo much! I would attend all of their beekeeping conventions.

This is my lovely friend Brittany! I met up with her this weekend and we walked around downtown. She convinced me (even more) to move to Portland after I graduate. Oh, decisions.

sunday snapshots: fall retreat

I just got back from my last fall retreat trip (senior year! crazy) near South Lake Tahoe. The weekend included lots of card playing and spending time around the trees. My favorite place to sit every year is on this big tree stump on top of a hill with roots that remind me of a giant jellyfish.

countdown to autumn: pumpkin recipes

I consider myself a summer girl, but every time I so much as smell something autumn-y, I fall back in love with this approaching season. In honor of fall, I’ll post every-now-and-then things that I am excited about. One of my roommates just mentioned pumpkin pie, and I went a little pinterest crazy. These are the yummiest looking recipes I have found:

diy: fabric flowers

With the help of a few different tutorials, I learned to make fabric flowers this past week! My roommate and I have been making a ton of them since they’re so quick.
Coffee, crafts, & Grey’s Anatomy make for a wonderful Sunday morning.

Today I want to talk about coral and teal! My favorite color scheme of the summer. During the whirlwind of finals and projects in May, these colors reminded me of the ever so close, blissful freedom called summertime.

These truly are summer colors to me. They remind me of warm weather and popsicles. As my summer is sadly coming to an end, I am doing all that I can to live up the next two weeks. It is a time of birthday parties (happy birthday to my bffs Steph yesterday & Sara today!!), weddings, beach trips, road trips, cleaning and packing, winding up all my yarn (less cool), and appreciating the lack of stress in general.

At the same time, I am kind of excited for school. I have missed being around such a smiley community. I am going to have a wonderful roommate and apartment. And, I…miss…studying? I don’t know if I mean that or not, but I’m looking forward to some quality solo library dates.

Anyway, happy Wednesday! Does anyone else have colors they automatically attribute to summer?
