I hope you all had a happy day yesterday and were able to show yourself (and others!) some love. Here are some of my favorite finds on the interwebs this week.

First thing’s first. I need to travel, and I need to travel soon. I’m loving this artwork for Uppercase Magazine by Debbie Powell.

You have probably caught onto the fact that I am a big Carly Rae Jepsen fan. I truly think she’s the best. This is a video of her auditioning for Canadian Idol probably 6ish years ago. It’s adorable! The song she sings is one of my favorites from her first album.

Miss Jepsen also happens to be the face of my new favorite brand, güd from Burt’s Bees. Oh my gosh. I have only tried the shampoo and conditioner (in floral cherrynova), but my hair feels amazing. And I never notice special things about shampoos or conditioners. This stuff is the bee’s knees. Ha ha, get it, ’cause it’s from Burt’s Bees? I’msofunny.

And then, she spent all of her money and moved back in with her parents… Dude, working for Gap is harder than I thought it would be! I love everything about it. Especially the discounts. Ooooh, the discounts…these are a couple things I couldn’t resist this week. Now, I’m done. (Maybe!)

Gap / Gap / Old Navy

Loving this print from Ecojot.

Happy Weekend to you!

ps. Did you know that yesterday was Oregon’s birthday? Yet another reason to celebrate. February has a lot of holidays now that I think about it.

On an average week, I gain approximately 1,000,000,000 new favorite things. Therefore, here’s a new series: a random collection of my weekly favorite things! I had a series called “Favorite Things of the Week” (cool huh?) a couple summers ago, but it wasn’t consistent.

Anyway, hi! Here are some of my favorite things this week. :)

I am always looking for new ways to organize and I think this DIY wall organizer is beautiful and perfect. It looks simple enough, and it could be customized in so many different ways.

I want to wake up in a setting like this every single morning. Isn’t it dreamy?

This vintage deckchair is the best! My dream is to thrift something like this…can you imagine?

Like I’ve said, I am not a big jewelry wearer, but I’m trying. I think this necklace is wonderful. It reminds me of the beach. :)

And, why not throw in a little food love. Banana yogurt walnut muffins? Oh, yum! Not sure if they can top my grandma’s bran muffins, but I’ll give the recipe a try.

Happy Friday! I am off to see Ellie Goulding in Oakland. Should be a fun night!

A few lists

02/01/2013 by Jennifer 4 Comments

Sometimes I just have a bunch of favorite things that don’t belong in any specific categories. That is how I am feeling today. How about some lists?

Blog posts I have been loving lately:

Live an Inspired Life – A Beautiful Mess
Your Readers’ Pet Peeves – In a Pretty Box
Why Becoming a Vegan was the Best Thing I Ever Did – Going Home to Roost

(The last blog post is about a year old, but I always find myself coming back to it! Hint, hint…)

Things I am super excited about:
-A couple of products I’ll be reviewing soon. They’re aaamazing.
-The sudden warm weather here. I love that familiar smell of springtime. It feels like love is in the air all the time, and I walk around smiling in a kind of dorky way. I also just like Valentine’s Day a lot.
– My product goals and ideas. The concept of “doing” rather than “dreaming” is going around a lot this year. I like both. I have been feeling super busy every day even when I am just staying at home.
-But wait! I won’t be staying home all day for much longer because I have a job. At the Gap outlet. I am so excited. :)

Plans for the near future:
-Create a ton of Valentine’s Day inspired products. I will be finishing some tomorrow and then they’ll be on the blog (and shop!).
-Host a Galentine’s Day Party.
-Become a better sewing machine-user. Seamstress? That’s a strong word. I just need to alter some clothes… and my new foot control came in the mail. Hooray!

Anyway, thanks for tuning into Random Lists with Jenn. :)

Ariele Alasko

01/18/2013 by Jennifer 2 Comments

Nothing makes me feel quite as inspired as I do by looking at Ariele Alasko’s brilliant and beautiful work.

She lives in Brooklyn and builds the most beautiful reclaimed furniture I have ever seen.

Man oh man. I love everything about this lady’s work. Visit her website and blog to see more!
