I have a strong tendency to blog about things that I originally didn’t like but now almost love. In yesterday’s Ugly Betty post, you might have noticed a lot of primary colors. I have never liked primary colors, ever. Not even when I was a little kid. “Ketchup and mustard,” I’d say. Not cute. Not even with a little blue thrown in to balance things out. However, I should know by now that I can’t trust myself to make strong opinions about anything design-related because a different perspective can easily change everything. Thanks to a little interior trend called Primary Modernism, I am rethinking the way I feel about these colors.
Everybody, meet my new friends – Red, Yellow, and Blue:
1. Gigi Sharp and George Gilpin’s East Village Loft
2. Peekaboo Clear Nesting Tables – CB2
3. Arne Korsmo & Grete Prytz Kittelsen’s Mid-Century Home
(clockwise from top left)
4. Small Retro Apartment in Copenhagen
5. Klara Bothen’s Home in Sweden
6. Staple&Co Brand at Project82
7. Weekend Home of Fab.com Creator, Bradford Shellhammer

9. by Damian Russell
My favorite photo from this list is #6 probably because the mix of primary colors is so subtle. Do you enjoy mixing primary colors together, or do you have a love-hate thing going on like I do?
