Over the past month, I’ve been working on a very special project. Like I said, I have been lucky to work with lots of lovely food bloggers this year. It’s wonderful for so many reasons. I love getting to learn about a type of blogging that is pretty unfamiliar to me. Also, it is really inspiring to design around such beautiful, crisp food photographs. Another plus – I always end up with a plethora of tasty recipes to add to my list of things to try.
This past month, I worked with Mary Ann of The Beach House Kitchen to create a clean, fully-customized WordPress blog design. For the blog design, we began with the Genesis Framework and Foodie Pro Theme. We began by creating a color palette of nautical navy and gray hues with the softer addition of pink. I’m still dreaming about this color palette and want to incorporate it into my workspace big time.
Mary Ann worked with Rickety Robot to design her anchor logo. Don’t you love the spoon and knife touch? I’m also so glad we added the sand element to the header! This was Mary Ann’s idea. Love how it ties in the beachy theme.
Take a look at the entire site here! If you’re a fellow foodie, check out my favorite recipes on The Beach House Kitchen:
Bourbon White Peach Popsicles
Berry Cobbler with Sweet Biscuit Topping
The Charleston Fizz
Loaded Berry Smoothie
Perfect for summer get-togethers, huh? Those popsicles are for sure making an appearance at the next BBQ I attend. All of Mary Ann’s recipes are absolutely divine and I would enjoy them beachside any day.
