I used to be a strong hater of brown and black together. However the older I get and more comfortable in my own fashion choices, I have grown to embrace brown and black together.
I always say “I hate black and brown together!” and then I’ll see this sweater that I LOVE that’s black and brown so…. I guess I’m just lying to myself.
Back in about 2001 my sister yelled at me for wearing black pants and brown leather shoes. I told her they were both neutrals and all neutrals go together. I stick to that statement 11 years later and am happy to see some others come on board.

I’m all for brown and black! I still remember the first time I wore black tights and brown shoes back in 2005… I was nervous, it makes me giggle now!!
