As much as I love white walls, I do appreciate a great statement wall. A wall of art, paneled wood, patterned wallpaper, or even a solid color can give a room so much personality. My favorite statement walls are those that are unique and unexpected, but still bring the room together.

1. This watercolor mural is actually a wall decal! It’s self-adhesive, easy to reposition, and has a matte finish. I think it’s brilliant.
2. Whoa. There. When I first saw this herringbone wood paneled wall, I was in awe but also overwhelmed at the thought of ever creating something so beautiful. Luckily, the detailed tutorial makes it a little more fathomable.
3. I’m a big fan of large abstract art in minimal settings, especially when the colors are so vibrant and pretty.
4. For months, I’ve been smitten with this colorful block panel wall. All of the colors work perfectly together, and this whole setup makes that coffee look even more desirable.
5. I love the pops of color on this wood panel wall, along with the hanging plants. So cute! And check out the rest of this studio tour. It may be the brightest studio space I’ve ever seen in my life.
6. This is such amazing wallpaper! The Unique Space studio makes me long for a loft to work in.
7. Lastly, check out this pastel geometric wall. I love how simple it is. Also, unlike wallpaper or wood paneling, this would be super easy to change up. That’s always a plus for those of us who need a lot of change (me!).
Do you have a statement wall in your house or do you prefer to have a consistent wall color? It is going to be a long time until I can do extreme renovations since I’m not buying a house anytime soon, but I’ll think of some statement wall ideas for rentals. :)
