Oh, Autumn! Season of the one and only Pumpkin Spice Latte. I’m not really a fan of the popular Starbucks PSL (it’s too sweet!), but I still appreciate a hint of pumpkin flavor added to every day favorites (coffee, granola, cookies, etc). I planning to gather a few healthy variations of the pumpkin spice latte, but of course I ended up with 24 pumpkin spice everything recipes.

I didn’t grow up eating pumpkin anything nor doing fun pumpkin carvings, but whatever my older sister had an aversion to, I, of course, did as well. Ha! I’ve long been out of that mindset, so now it’s time to give a try to what I’ve been missing out on.
I mean, why not, when you have put together such an extensive list. ;)

Pumpkin, chocolate chips and oatmeal make an amazing combination! Love this roundup:)

Right?! They’re so good together. My old roommate used to make pumpkin chocolate chip oatmeal cookies and they were heavenly. :)

I haven’t eaten any pumpkin-flavoured thing yet, but I’ll probably start next week! I’ve always found amusing that pumpkin is eaten in sweets in the US, because in France we mostly cook it in savoury dishes, just like any kind of winter squash. We mostly make soup, purée, gratins, lasagna with it, savoury pies sometimes. I often cook winter squash risotto, or roasted squash for salads/tacos, or I buy small ones that I stuff and bake. I sometimes use it in stuffed pasta, hummus, handpies, and probably other uses that I can’t remember. I think I made sweet pumpkin pie only twice in my life, as well as muffins/cupcakes and I’ll probably try to make more this year (I’m thinking pumpkin oatmeal or pancakes!). But as i am a big pumpkin/squash lover, I can eat it either in a sweet or savoury recipe ;)

Yum! I tend to stick with sweet pumpkin treats like muffins or pie. But I think I would love the savory dishes just as much! Haven’t tried many of them though. I hope you’ll share some on your beautiful blog! :)
