The past week has been a reality check in all kinds of different ways. I’m feeling more connected to my dream job than ever, although I’m learning that it is so hard to explain to people. I also have a strange metaphorical feeling that I’m being pushed out of the nest. Not the nest, like my parents’ houses. I guess it’s more like I am having to decide what’s next. I’ve been in the same spot for a while and I am ready for a new routine and a change of scenery. I know that is all very vague. I don’t get it either. But I’ll keep you posted. :)
Now onto some light-hearted business! A few extremely awesome things have happened recently.
1. Rashida Jones came into my work the other day and I rang her up! I was SO starstruck, but I think I acted normal enough. I told her that I was Ann Perkins for Halloween a couple years ago, and she and Will McCormack (!!) told me my gold leaf headband was beautiful. It was amazing. I don’t know what they were doing around here but I sure am happy that we happened to be in the same place at the same time. It was lit’rally the best thing ever.
2. I have decided on a new blog series that combines two things I love dearly. It also has a little something to do with Desperate Housewives because I’m straight up addicted to that show. More on that tomorrow…
3. Slowly, I am changing my “jennyigloo” usernames to “earlgreyjenn”. Hooray for cohesiveness. So far, I’ve just changed my Instagram and Pinterest accounts. If you don’t know about how I got the name Jenny Igloo, it is a really funny story but also a long and complicated one so…I’ll spare you the rabbit trail today.
The other snapshots are just of good memories this week. Copper…my sisters…love ’em.
Today, my shift was cut at work. Again. I’m turning a bummer day into a good day by staying productive in the most fun way possible. Makin’ products all day long.
Hope each of you have a happy day. :)

Yay for social network cohesiveness! I’m slowing working on that as well.
