thoughts on selfies

07/26/2013 by Jennifer 5 Comments

Everybody knows that selfies are awkward. At least, they start out that way. In middle school, trying to get that perfect selfie in the bathroom mirror..But then, ten years later, they can be kinda fun!

Elsie and Emma of A Beautiful Mess are doing a 30-day self-portrait challenge and I thought I’d join in. Not because I love selfies a ton, but because I really want to win an autographed copy of their photo idea book. :) I am getting used to these daily selfies. They have been challenging me to have fun and do more productive things (because who wants to see a picture of me sleeping all day? Only creeps…).

Even if posting pictures of your face might feel awkward or may seem conceited, the point is…IT’S YOUR FACE. And it is a big expression of who you are.

What are your thoughts on selfies? Are you joining in on the 30-day challenge?

ps. my instagram name is @jennyigloo if you’d like to following along. :)

Ok. I love the sound of a 30-day selfie challenge. I ALWAYS forget to do these but I love the sound of it!

I am SUCH a fan of taking selfies. I love showing who I am, from the look on my face to my style both clothing wise, and jewelry plus make-up wise. I know not many people like taking them, but I just find them so much fun. Your selfies are so much fun!

You did a great job! I find taking selfies totally awkward. I guess maybe if I tried more! I hate even changing my FB avi!
