This weekend, I had the privilege of participating in the GETty Crafty Holiday Bazaar! Getty Owl is an organization that aims to fight Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Its name comes from the wonderful, little lady that is Getty Storm. To learn more about her and SMA, visit the official Getty Owl website.
Being asked to be in this craft fair was so stinkin’ exciting. It also created a lot of anxiety for me. I had never done a craft fair before and I didn’t have a lot of energy during the past couple of weeks. But! It happened. And it was a great experience. I was able to walk around and talk to other artists while my mom managed my table (thank you, thank you, thank you). The day was full of encouragement.
The event was held in a beautiful library galleria. Also, Annie’s Organics was there handing out pizza which was just awesome. My dad and sisters came to visit, as well as a few other good friends. I’m thankful to have had them there.
Now that the craft fair is over, I am overwhelmed with the possibilities of what I can do with my free time. I recently quit my job and began a new one that is part time and seasonal, giving me lots of time to focus on Earl Grey stuff. It is really easy to spend my empty days inside being cozy and watching tv, but I’ve been challenging myself to get outside and talk to people. This usually involves a walk to Whole Foods. :)

Glad your show went well! still haven’t done my own yet. I keep seeing ads for fairs in my area and feeling a little disappointed that I didn’t sign up. Now you’ll have time to do many more if you choose!
